NEXUS Community Support Society in 100 Mile House, BC is inviting applications for the position of Community worker. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment - Part time position. The schedule involves Morning, Day shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must perform administrative and office activities.
• The candidate must implement life skills workshops.
• The candidate must perform housekeeping activities.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be interpersonally aware.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must have the ability to work independently.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work from a remote location, performing their duties from a site other than the employer’s central office while maintaining productivity and communication.
• The candidate must work in a community agency to deliver programs, coordinate services, and support individuals and families.

Security and Safety

• The candidate must undergo a criminal record check.
• The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
• The candidate must be able to pass a driving record check (abstract).
