Developmental Disabilities Association in Vancouver, BC is inviting applications for the position of Community service worker. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, , 07:30 to 15:00.

Job Description

• The candidate must implement life skills workshops.
• The candidate must assess clients’ relevant skill strengths and development needs.
• The candidate must assist clients/guests with special needs.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• Relevant experience considered in lieu of education.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Security and Safety

• The candidate must undergo a criminal record check.
• The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
• The candidate must be able to pass a driving record check (abstract).
