CNC (computer numerical control) machinist

GRANITE DYNASTY INC. in Oakbank, MB is inviting applications for the position of CNC (computer numerical control) machinist. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Overtime required, Morning, Day, Weekend, To be determined.

Job Description

• The candidate must compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts.
• The candidate must measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly.
• The candidate must read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables.
• The candidate must set up and adjust production machineries/tools.
• The candidate must fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance.
• The candidate must document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances.
• The candidate must maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports.
• The candidate must verify dimensions of machined parts using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
• The candidate must set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools.
• The candidate must verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must have the ability to work independently.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
