Job Description
- The candidate must assess the childrenβs development in order to prepare a learning plan tailored to their needs.
- The candidate must bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers.
- The candidate must develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
- The candidate must maintain daycare equipment.
- The candidate must engage in storytelling.
- The candidate must synthesize the overall situation of the children and communicate the information to the parents.
- The candidate must encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activities.
- The candidate must engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
- The candidate must guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
- The candidate must prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
- The candidate must observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
- The candidate must submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
- The candidate must discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
