Child care live-in caregiver

DeJa - Private home is situated in Westmount, QC and is hiring a Child care live-in caregiver to join the team. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Shift, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents.
• The candidate must perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• The candidate must bathe, dress, and feed infants and children.
• The candidate must discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
• The candidate must instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
• The candidate must maintain a safe and healthy environment within the home.
• The candidate must organize activities such as games and outings for children.
• The candidate must prepare and serve nutritious meals.
• The candidate must prepare infants and children for rest periods.
• The candidate must supervise and care for children.
• The candidate must attend to the emotional well-being of children.
• The candidate must cook meals as required.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English or French.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Equivalent professional experience accepted.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
