Chemical laboratory technician

ALS Canada Ltd. is situated in Val-d'Or, QC and is hiring a Chemical laboratory technician to join the team. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must conduct sampling and analysis using chromatography techniques.
• The candidate must maintain laboratory equipment.
• The candidate must operate laboratory apparatus.
• The candidate must set up chemical experiments, tests and analyses.
• The candidate must assist in developing sampling and analysis programs to maintain quality standards.
• The candidate must compile records and interpret experimental or analytical results.
• The candidate must develop and conduct sampling and analysis programs.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in French.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
