The Great Indian Cuisine in Surrey, BC is inviting applications for the position of Chef. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time.

Job Description

• The candidate must estimate labour costs.
• The candidate must maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
• The candidate must analyze operating costs and other data.
• The candidate must supervise cooks and other kitchen staff.
• The candidate must arrange for equipment purchases and repairs.
• The candidate must plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities of several restaurants.
• The candidate must plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
• The candidate must recruit and hire staff.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate should be willing to work under pressure.
