HWANGGANE & OSAKA SUSHI in Thornhill, ON is inviting applications for the position of Chef. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Work schedule: Day, Evening, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must create new recipes.
• The candidate must instruct cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
• The candidate must supervise cooks and other kitchen staff.
• The candidate must prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions.
• The candidate must plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must have 2 to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in restaurants that are generally fast-paced and require the utmost efficiency.
