Amir Restaurant in Kirkland, QC is seeking a self-motivated Chef. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must estimate the amount and costs of supplies and food items.
• The candidate must estimate labour costs.
• The candidate must maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
• The candidate must supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
• The candidate must instruct cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
• The candidate must supervise cooks and other kitchen staff.
• The candidate must prepare and cook meals or specialty foods.
• The candidate must requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed.
• The candidate must arrange for equipment purchases and repairs.
• The candidate must plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
• The candidate must train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
• The candidate must lead and instruct individuals.

• The candidate must be fluent in French.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
