Chef de partie

Araxi Restaurant + Oyster Bar ( Whistler, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Chef de partie. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Required shifts: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must estimate the amount and costs of supplies and food items.
• The candidate must instruct cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
• The candidate must prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions.
• The candidate must prepare and cook meals or specialty foods.
• The candidate must requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed.
• The candidate must prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
• The candidate must recruit and hire staff.
• The candidate must train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• Equivalent experience is acceptable.
• The candidate must be dependable.

• The candidate must work in a formal dining room to serve meals, manage table service, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• The candidate should work in restaurants that are generally fast-paced and require the utmost efficiency.
