Morris Wholesale in Miramichi, NB is seeking a self-motivated Cashier, supermarket. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This role offers Permanent employment - Part time employment. Shift timings include: Morning, Day, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate the cash register accurately.
• The candidate must process money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments.
• The candidate must scan items.
• The candidate must tabulate total payment for goods or services required.
• The candidate must receive payment for goods or services.
• The candidate must calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales.
• The candidate must stock shelves and clean counter areas.
• The candidate must wrap or place merchandise in bags.
• The candidate must weigh produce and bulk foods.
• The candidate must verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• A candidate with experience is an asset.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a supermarket/grocery store self-service shop offering a wide variety of food, beverages, and household products, organized into sections.
