Cashier

KAMLOOPS TRAVEL CENTRE is situated in Kamloops, BC and is hiring a Cashier to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. The schedule involves Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On call, Overtime available shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate the cash register accurately.
• The candidate must process money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments.
• The candidate must scan items.
• The candidate must receive payment for goods or services.
• The candidate must stock shelves and clean counter areas.
• The candidate must greet customers.
• The candidate must weigh produce and bulk foods.
• The candidate must provide exceptional customer service.
• The candidate must verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English or French.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• No experience required. The employer will provide training to the selected candidate.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be reliable.
