Cashier, customer service

Willingdon Chevron ( Burnaby, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Cashier, customer service. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This is a Term or contractPart time position. Work schedule: Early morning, Morning, Evening, Night, Weekend, On call, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate the cash register accurately.
• The candidate must process money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments.
• The candidate must scan items.
• The candidate must receive payment for goods or services.
• The candidate must calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales.
• The candidate must perform suggestive selling.
• The candidate must stock shelves and clean counter areas.
• The candidate must greet customers.
• The candidate must wrap or place merchandise in bags.
• The candidate must provide exceptional customer service.
• The candidate must assist customers with self-checkout.
• The candidate must monitor all entrances and exits and request proof of payment when necessary.
• The candidate must participate in promotional activities.
• The candidate must verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a gas bar.
• The candidate must work in a confectionery or corner store.
• The candidate should work in a retail business, purchasing goods from manufacturers or wholesalers, and selling these goods to consumers in small quantities.
