Dejar Design Corp. is situated in West Vancouver, BC and is hiring a Carpenter to join the team. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Required shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend, Flexible hours, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare layouts in conformance with building codes, using measuring tools.
• The candidate must build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
• The candidate must fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
• The candidate must estimate costs and materials.
• The candidate must maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
• The candidate must read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
• The candidate must prepare and install hardwood floors.
• The candidate must operate computerized inventory record-keeping and re-ordering systems.
• The candidate must measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors.
• The candidate must estimate repair costs.
• The candidate must prepare detailed cost estimates.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
