Westcore Siding Ltd. is situated in Surrey, BC and is hiring a Carpenter to join the team. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. The schedule involves Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible hours, Overtime available shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare layouts in conformance with building codes, using measuring tools.
• The candidate must measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• The candidate must fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
• The candidate must maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
• The candidate must provide staff training.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must be able to work at heights.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in construction trades and crafts, including bricklaying, stonemasonry, carpentry, joinery, demolition, electrical work, painting and decorating, plumbing, scaffolding, steeple jacking, and wall and floor work.
• The candidate must work in renovation to repair, update, or improve residential or commercial properties, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications.
