Canadian Sofa Solution Ltd. in Mississauga, ON is inviting applications for the position of Carpenter. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. The schedule involves Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Shift, On call, To be determined shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must prepare layouts in conformance with building codes, using measuring tools.
• The candidate must measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• The candidate must fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
• The candidate must schedule and coordinate work on sites.
• The candidate must maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must have 3 to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be punctual.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in manufacturing industry to operate machinery, assemble products, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
