Carpenter

PACIFIC BUILDERS AND CONTRACTORS INC. is situated in Burlington, ON and is hiring a Carpenter to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Work schedule: Morning, Day, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
• The candidate must read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• The candidate must fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
• The candidate must schedule and coordinate work on sites.
• The candidate must instruct apprentices.
• The candidate must supervise other workers.
• The candidate must estimate costs and materials.
• The candidate must operate CADD and other computer software systems.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Or equivalent experience.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
