Bus driver

Autobus La Québécoise Inc. in Québec, QC is inviting applications for the position of Bus driver. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Work schedule: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, On call, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate buses, school buses, or streetcars to transport passengers.
• The candidate must provide passengers with information on fares, schedules, and stops.
• The candidate must report delays, mechanical problems, and accidents.
• The candidate must direct passengers during emergency evacuation procedures.
• The candidate must ensure para-transit passengers board vehicles safely.
• The candidate must deal with the public.
• The candidate must complete logbooks and reports.
• The candidate must deal with difficult passengers and resolve conflicts.
• The candidate must communicate with passengers, dispatchers, or other drivers using two-way radio systems.
• The candidate must ensure children's safety when boarding and leaving buses and while crossing streets when the bus is stopped.
• The candidate must perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in French.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
• The candidate must have 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.
