Boat carpenter

Neptunus Yachts International ( St. Catharines, ON) is currently looking for a skilled Boat carpenter. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time.

Job Description

• The candidate must measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• The candidate must fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• Relevant experience considered in lieu of education.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work in confined spaces.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in construction trades and crafts, including bricklaying, stonemasonry, carpentry, joinery, demolition, electrical work, painting and decorating, plumbing, scaffolding, steeple jacking, and wall and floor work.
• The candidate must work in marine works to construct, maintain, or repair marine infrastructure and equipment.
• The candidate must work in millwork or prefabrication shopwork to cut, assemble, and finish building components.
• The candidate must work in residential settings, performing tasks on one-, two-, and three-family dwellings.
