Beekeeper

Coastal Black Estate Winery LTD ( Black Creek, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Beekeeper. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. We are offering a Seasonal employment or Full time opportunity. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must maintain the bee yard and beekeeping equipment.
• The candidate must manage feed inventory activities.
• The candidate must work with honey bees.
• The candidate must perform general farm duties.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The ideal candidate must have more than 5 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must work in hot conditions.
• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
• The candidate's relocation costs should not be covered by the employer; if the company does not provide a relocation package, you may request an advance on your earnings to cover some of your moving expenses.
