Bakery machine operator - food and beverage processing

King Cone Wafflecone Mfg. Ltd. ( Surrey, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Bakery machine operator - food and beverage processing. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Required shifts: Overtime required, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, On call, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must perform corrective machine adjustments.
• The candidate must record production information.
• The candidate must observe gauges, computer printouts, and video monitors to verify specified processing conditions.
• The candidate must clean machines and immediate work areas.
• The candidate must inform supervisors of mechanical malfunctions or product irregularities.
• The candidate must make adjustments to process variables.
• The candidate must maintain a shift log of production and other data.
• The candidate must set up and adjust processing and packaging machines.
• The candidate must check products for defects and ensure conformance to company standards.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must work in hot conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a food processing plant.
• The candidate should work in bakery retail or commercial bakeries (manufacturing facilities), grocery or wholesale club stores, and restaurants.
