Valley Bakehouse in Berwick, NS is seeking a self-motivated Baker - retail. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare doughs, batters, icings, and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
• The candidate must prepare pastry for special occasions, such as weddings and birthdays.
• The candidate must requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• The candidate must bake mixed dough and batters.
• The candidate must train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
• The candidate must prepare special orders.
• The candidate must frost and decorate cakes and baked goods.
• The candidate must draw up production schedules.
• The candidate must ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
• The candidate must operate machinery.
• The candidate must organize and maintain inventory.
• The candidate must oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods.
• The candidate must prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
