Automotive service technician

Big O Tires Nanaimo in Nanaimo, BC is inviting applications for the position of Automotive service technician. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
• The candidate must inspect motors in operation.
• The candidate must review work orders.
• The candidate must road test motor vehicles.
• The candidate must test automotive systems and components.
• The candidate must adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
• The candidate must test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications.
• The candidate must estimate parts and labour costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• The candidate must perform scheduled maintenance service.
• The candidate must test and adjust units to specifications.
• The candidate must advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
• The candidate must provide exceptional customer service.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must have 2 to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
