Job Description

The candidate must confirm findings with a supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace a unit.
The candidate must discuss work with the supervisor.
The candidate must inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
The candidate must review work orders.
The candidate must test automotive systems and components.
The candidate must adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
The candidate must repair or replace mechanical units or components.
The candidate must test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications.
The candidate must estimate parts and labour costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
The candidate must perform scheduled maintenance service.
The candidate must advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
The candidate must complete reports to record problems and work performed.
The candidate must provide exceptional customer service.
The candidate must help tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed.

Job Requirements

The candidate must be fluent in English.
The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
Relevant experience considered in lieu of education.
