Automotive mechanic

OK Tire is situated in Williams Lake, BC and is hiring a Automotive mechanic to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. The schedule involves Morning, Day shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must inspect and test mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions.
• The candidate must test automotive systems and components.
• The candidate must adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
• The candidate must adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems.
• The candidate must repair or replace mechanical units or components.
• The candidate must test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications.
• The candidate must estimate parts and labour costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• The candidate must perform scheduled maintenance service.
• The candidate must test and adjust units to specifications.
• The candidate must advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
• The candidate must complete reports to record problems and work performed.
• The candidate must coach and instruct apprentices.
• The candidate must provide exceptional customer service.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Setting

• The candidate should be willing to relocate and be ready to move to a new city/different city for a job.
