Auto body technician

LGN AUTO CLEARANCE CENTER in Surrey, BC is inviting applications for the position of Auto body technician. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. The schedule involves Day, Weekend shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must plan repair work to be performed.
• The candidate must demonstrate professionalism in customer service.
• The candidate must clean and maintain workspaces.
• The candidate must replace front-end components, body components, doors, frames, and underbody components.
• The candidate must file, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired.
• The candidate must mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting.
• The candidate must hammer out dents, buckles, and defects using blocks and hammers.
• The candidate must remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place.
• The candidate must apply primers and repaint surfaces.
• The candidate must repair or replace interior components.
• The candidate must mix paint and blend and match colours.
• The candidate must operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
