Auto body technician - collision

SMP Nelson Chrysler Autobody in Nelson, BC is inviting applications for the position of Auto body technician - collision. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time.

Job Description

• The candidate must test drive vehicles to ensure proper handling and performance.
• The candidate must clean and maintain workspaces.
• The candidate must replace front-end components, body components, doors, frames, and underbody components.
• The candidate must file, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired.
• The candidate must hammer out dents, buckles, and defects using blocks and hammers.
• The candidate must remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place.
• The candidate must repair or replace interior components.
• The candidate must operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams.
• The candidate must straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment.
