Assistant manager - retail

Forest City Surplus in London, ON is inviting applications for the position of Assistant manager - retail. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Work schedule: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, , 09:00 to 18:30.

Job Description

• The candidate must direct and control daily operations.
• The candidate must plan and organize daily operations effectively.
• The candidate must manage staff and assign duties to ensure smooth operations.
• The candidate must implement price and credit policies.
• The candidate must determine staffing requirements.
• The candidate must resolve issues that arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
• The candidate must recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers.
• The candidate must conduct performance reviews.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be energetic.
• The candidate must maintain a positive attitude.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a retail service establishment.
• The candidate must work in an appliance store.
• The candidate should work in an urban area with a high population density.
• The candidate's relocation costs should not be covered by the employer; if the company does not provide a relocation package, you may request an advance on your earnings to cover some of your moving expenses.
• The candidate must work in an electronic products store to assist customers, manage inventory, and demonstrate products.
• The candidate should work in a hardware store that sells household hardware for home improvement.
• The candidate should work in a large department store that sells a wide range of products organized into distinct departments to satisfy nearly every customer's requirements under one roof.
• The candidate should work in a retail business, purchasing goods from manufacturers or wholesalers, and selling these goods to consumers in small quantities.
• The candidate should work in a retail/wholesale establishment/distribution center handling products from manufacturers or wholesalers, organizing them, and shipping them to their final destinations as quickly as possible.
