Job Description

  • The candidate must analyze budgets to increase and maintain restaurant profits.
  • The candidate must develop budgets to determine the cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen supplies, and cleaning supplies.
  • The candidate must evaluate daily operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • The candidate must modify food preparation methods and menu prices to align with the restaurant budget.
  • The candidate must monitor revenues to determine labour costs.
  • The candidate must monitor staff performance.
  • The candidate must plan and organize daily operations effectively.
  • The candidate must recruit staff.
  • The candidate must set staff work schedules efficiently.
  • The candidate must supervise staff.
  • The candidate must train staff to ensure proficiency in their roles.
  • The candidate must determine the types of services to be offered and implement appropriate operational procedures.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate must be fluent in English.
  • The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Equivalent experience is acceptable.

Work Setting

  • The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
  • The candidate must work in a food service establishment, which includes any indoor area or portion thereof where the principal business sells food for on-premises consumption.
