Assistant executive housekeeper

Long Beach Lodge Resort in Tofino, BC is inviting applications for the position of Assistant executive housekeeper. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Work schedule: Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must establish operational procedures.
• The candidate must implement operational procedures to prevent infection in special situations and outbreaks.
• The candidate must select and purchase equipment and supplies.
• The candidate must plan and co-ordinate activities of housekeeping supervisors and crews.
• The candidate must co-ordinate inspection of assigned areas.
• The candidate must supervise staff.
• The candidate must ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met.
• The candidate must coordinate maintenance and repair services.
• The candidate must maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
• The candidate must supervise in-house laundry services.
• The candidate must co-ordinate in-house laundry services.
• The candidate must schedule and assign duties of housekeeping staff.
• The candidate must co-ordinate dry cleaning and valet services.
• The candidate must ensure that local health and sanitation regulations are carried out.
• The candidate must respond to complaints of guests.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in staff accommodation that offers live-in accommodation when an employer provides a housing offer to its employees.
• The candidate must work in a resort to provide guest services, manage operations, and ensure an excellent client experience.
