Apprentice carpenter

Bosman Home Front Inc. is situated in Palmerston, ON and is hiring a Apprentice carpenter to join the team. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• The candidate must build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
• The candidate must fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
• The candidate must maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.

• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be accurate.

• The candidate must work in millwork or prefabrication shopwork to cut, assemble, and finish building components.
• The candidate must work in residential settings, performing tasks on one-, two-, and three-family dwellings.
