Appliance service technician

OMCAN MANUFACTURING&DISTRIBUTING COMPANY INC. in Mississauga, ON is seeking a self-motivated Appliance service technician. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time.

Job Description

• The candidate must conduct voltage, resistance, and other tests using electrical test equipment.
• The candidate must prepare written estimates of repair costs.
• The candidate must read blueprints to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must refer to schematic drawings or product manuals to repair parts.
• The candidate must diagnose faults using testing devices.
• The candidate must repair electrical appliances and components.
• The candidate must replace faulty components.
• The candidate must advise customers on work performed and the condition of equipment.
• The candidate must use shop equipment and specialized diagnostic and programming apparatus to repair, adjust and reprogram appliances.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• Equivalent professional experience accepted.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
