Appliance service technician

O.M.G. Contracting Services Ltd. in Surrey, BC is inviting applications for the position of Appliance service technician. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Required shifts: Early morning, Evening, Night, Weekend, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must conduct voltage, resistance, and other tests using electrical test equipment.
• The candidate must refer to schematic drawings or product manuals to repair parts.
• The candidate must diagnose faults using testing devices.
• The candidate must repair electrical appliances and components.
• The candidate must replace faulty components.
• The candidate must advise customers on work performed and the condition of equipment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
