miedema honey farm in Barrhead, AB is inviting applications for the position of Apiary technician. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Term or contractFull time position. Required shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must maintain the bee yard and beekeeping equipment.
• The candidate must work with honey bees.
• The candidate must interact with bees based on knowledge of their biology, behaviour, ecology, and caste system.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must work in hot conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
• The candidate should work in staff accommodation that offers live-in accommodation when an employer provides a housing offer to its employees.
