Apiary manager

Worker Bee Honey Company is situated in 10609 McGrath RdRosedale, BC and is hiring a Apiary manager to join the team. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Required shifts: Overtime required, To be determined.

Job Description

• The candidate must interact with bees based on knowledge of their biology, behaviour, ecology, and caste system.
• The candidate must maintain the bee yard and beekeeping equipment.
• The candidate must monitor animal health.
• The candidate must work with honey bees.
• The candidate must maintain farm machinery, equipment, and buildings.
• The candidate must perform general farm duties.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must work in hot conditions.
• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
