Agricultural technician

Cave Spring Vineayrd is situated in Jordan Station, ON and is hiring a Agricultural technician to join the team. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position.

Job Description

• The candidate must assist in conducting biological tests and laboratory analyses.
• The candidate must conduct microbiological and biochemical tests and laboratory analyses.
• The candidate must set up and conduct biological tests and laboratory analyses.
• The candidate must set up and conduct microbiological tests and laboratory analyses.
• The candidate must assist in data analysis and report preparation.
• The candidate must analyze data and prepare comprehensive reports.
• The candidate must conduct or supervise operational programs.
• The candidate must establish and implement policies and procedures for quality control.
• The candidate must develop and maintain cost findings, reporting, and internal control procedures.
• The candidate must maintain and manage the growth of vines, vine canopy, and grapes.
• The candidate must conduct sampling and analysis using chromatography techniques.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be accurate.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must be able to work at heights.
• The candidate must work in cold or refrigerated conditions.
• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
• The candidate must work in wet or damp conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
