Ocean Sunset Chalets is situated in River John, NS and is hiring a Accounting technician to join the team. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Work schedule: Morning, Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
• The candidate must maintain general ledgers and financial statements.
• The candidate must post journal entries.
• The candidate must prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
• The candidate must prepare tax returns.
• The candidate must prepare trial balances of books.
• The candidate must reconcile accounts.
• The candidate must prepare financial statements and reports.
• The candidate must manage accounts payable.
• The candidate must manage accounts receivable.
• The candidate must perform financial calculations, such as costing and budgeting.
• The candidate must prepare reports and audit findings.
• The candidate must prepare bank reconciliations.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must be dependable.
