Trout River Industries Inc. is situated in Coleman, PE and is hiring a Accountant to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Work schedule: Day, , 08:00 to 17:00.

Job Description

• The candidate must manage balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
• The candidate must plan, set up, and administer accounting systems.
• The candidate must train staff to ensure proficiency in their roles.
• The candidate must ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, procedures, and internal controls.
• The candidate must prepare financial information for individuals, departments, or companies.
• The candidate must prepare reports and audit findings.
• The candidate must make recommendations concerning cash management, insurance coverage, investment planning, retirement, and estate planning.
• The candidate must prepare financial statements and reports.
• The candidate must recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices.
• The candidate will be responsible for conducting field audits of businesses to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Income Tax Act, the Canadian Business Corporations Act, and other applicable statutory requirements.
• The candidate must develop and maintain cost findings, reporting, and internal control procedures.
• The candidate must prepare income tax returns from accounting records.
• The candidate must review and examine financial services and institutions to ensure compliance with governing legislation and regulations.
• The candidate must analyze financial documents and reports.
• The candidate must examine accounting records.
• The candidate must provide financial, business, and tax advice.
• The candidate must assist in the planning and execution of financial statement audits.
• The candidate must conduct variance analysis.
• The candidate must keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree.
• Or equivalent experience.

• The candidate must work in manufacturing industry to operate machinery, assemble products, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
