Machinist

Industries SEDM Inc. in Saint-Jérôme, QC is seeking a self-motivated Machinist. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Work schedule: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts.
• The candidate must measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly.
• The candidate must read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables.
• The candidate must set up and adjust production machineries/tools.
• The candidate must maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments.
• The candidate must maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports.
• The candidate must verify dimensions of machined parts using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
• The candidate must set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools.
• The candidate must verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in French.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be accurate.
