Job Description
- The candidate must read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
- The candidate must measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding.
- The candidate must prepare flooring plans and scheduling.
- The candidate must measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors.
- The candidate must prepare tenders and quotations.
- The candidate must measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings.
- The candidate must prepare and install hardwood floors.
- The candidate must inspect and repair damaged floor coverings.
- The candidate must conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations.
- The candidate must estimate costs and materials.
- The candidate must prepare floors for installations.
- The candidate must remove existing floor coverings and contaminants.
- The candidate must install carpeting on walls or other surfaces.
- The candidate must employ knee kickers and other equipment to stretch carpeting.
- The candidate must perform direct glue-down carpet installations.
- The candidate must perform double-bond carpet installations.
- The candidate must install outdoor carpets.
- The candidate must install resilient stair components designed for visually impaired accessibility.
- The candidate must install materials on countertops and raised platforms.
- The candidate must install vinyl decking materials.

- The candidate must be fluent in English.
- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
- The candidate should be client-focused.
