Job Description

The candidate must adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
The candidate must discuss work with the supervisor.
The candidate must inspect and test mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions.
The candidate must inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
The candidate must inspect motors in operation.
The candidate must review work orders.
The candidate must road test motor vehicles.
The candidate must test automotive systems and components.
The candidate must adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
The candidate must adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems.
The candidate must repair or replace mechanical units or components.
The candidate must test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications.
The candidate must estimate parts and labour costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
The candidate must perform scheduled maintenance service.
The candidate must test and adjust units to specifications.
The candidate must complete reports to record problems and work performed.
The candidate must coach and instruct apprentices.
