Tow truck driver

Fastway Towing Inc. in Edmonton, AB is inviting applications for the position of Tow truck driver. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Flexible hours, To be determined shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must calculate the cost of truck repairs and new parts if needed.
• The candidate must address and resolve customers' complaints or concerns professionally.
• The candidate must drive lighter, special purpose trucks.
• The candidate must load and unload goods efficiently.
• The candidate must oversee the condition of vehicles and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• The candidate must pay and receive payments for goods.
• The candidate must perform brake adjustments.
• The candidate must perform emergency roadside repairs.
• The candidate must perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.
• The candidate must perform preventive maintenance.
• The candidate must receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• The candidate must record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
• The candidate must tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo.

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
