Now hiring: Tool and die maker at Lockwood Industries Inc. in Burlington, ON. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Day, Overtime available, , 07:30 to 16:00.

Job Description

• The candidate must compute dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of workpieces.
• The candidate must inspect final products.
• The candidate must test prototypes and production tools.
• The candidate must verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
• The candidate must lay out, shape, and assemble patterns of metal, wood, plastic, and other materials from blueprints, models, or templates.
• The candidate must position, secure, measure, and work metal stock or castings for machining.
• The candidate must design tools, moulds, jigs, and fixtures.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• Or equivalent experience.
