Bethesda Christian Association ( Abbotsford, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Support worker - social services. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. Position status: Casual employment - Part time leading to full time. Shift timings include: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On call, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must assess clients’ relevant skill strengths and development needs.
• The candidate must resolve conflict situations.
• The candidate must implement behaviour management programs.
• The candidate must assist clients/guests with special needs.
• The candidate must accompany clients to appointments and social outings.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a group home to provide care, supervision, and support to residents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
• The candidate must work in a community agency to deliver programs, coordinate services, and support individuals and families.

Transportation/travel information

• The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
