Sales clerk

University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC is inviting applications for the position of Sales clerk. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This role offers Permanent employment - Part time leading to full time employment. Required shifts: Morning, Day, Evening, Shift, Flexible hours, To be determined.

Job Description

• The candidate must accept cash, cheque, credit card, or automatic debit payments.
• The candidate must operate the cash register accurately.
• The candidate must provide advice regarding merchandise to customers.
• The candidate must advertise and/or promote products, sales, or services.
• The candidate must provide exceptional customer service.
• The candidate must assist in the display of merchandise.
• The candidate must conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce.
• The candidate must greet customers and discuss the type, quality, and quantity of merchandise or services sought for purchase, rental, or lease.

• The candidate must work in a book store to manage inventory, assist customers, and support retail operations.
• The candidate should work in bakery retail or commercial bakeries (manufacturing facilities), grocery or wholesale club stores, and restaurants.
