SKYLINE SCAFFOLD is situated in Delta, BC and is hiring a Rough carpenter to join the team. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Early morning, Morning, Day shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• The candidate must build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
• The candidate must instruct apprentices.
• The candidate must maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must uphold values and ethics.
• The candidate must be punctual.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
