Le Greg Bistro & Bar in Venise-en-Québec, QC is inviting applications for the position of Restaurant cook. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment - Part time. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On call.

Job Description

• The candidate must plan menus and estimate food requirements for preparation.
• The candidate must requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed.
• The candidate must prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and food items.
• The candidate must prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
• The candidate must inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
• The candidate must train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
• The candidate must supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
• The candidate must maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
• The candidate must clean kitchen and work areas.
• The candidate must organize buffets and banquets.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in French.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• Relevant experience considered in lieu of education.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in restaurants that are generally fast-paced and require the utmost efficiency.
