The Gardens at Qualicum Beach in Qualicum Beach, BC is inviting applications for the position of Registered nurse (R.N.). We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must address and document symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions.
• The candidate must assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions.
• The candidate must collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families.
• The candidate must dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
• The candidate must operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment.
• The candidate must provide nursing care.
• The candidate must supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a nursing home/home for the aged or people who don't need to be in a hospital but can't be cared for at home.

• The candidate must undergo a criminal record check.
• The candidate must provide up-to-date immunization records.
• The candidate must be able to pass a tuberculosis test.
