Job Description

  • The candidate must calculate and prepare cheques for payroll.
  • The candidate will be responsible for preparing employee earnings statements, detailing gross and net salaries, as well as deductions such as taxes, union dues, garnishments, and insurance and pension contributions.
  • The candidate must store, update, and retrieve financial data.
  • The candidate must prepare and balance period-end payroll reports and reconcile payrolls with bank statements.
  • The candidate must prepare monthly statements.
  • The candidate must complete and submit documentation for administration of benefits such as pension plans, leaves, share savings, employment, and medical insurance.
  • The candidate must inform employees about payroll matters and benefit plans.
  • The candidate must compile statistical data and prepare reports.
  • The candidate must maintain payroll.
  • The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of employee attendance, leave, and overtime to calculate pay and benefit entitlements using manual or computerized systems.
  • The candidate must prepare T4 statements and other required payroll documentation.
  • The candidate must perform data entry.
  • The candidate must prepare and submit reports.
  • The candidate must ensure accuracy of financial transactions.

  • The candidate must be fluent in English.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
  • Or equivalent experience.
  • The candidate must be accurate.
