Painter, maintenance

LDG Contracting in St. Stephen, NB is inviting applications for the position of Painter, maintenance. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This role offers Term or contractFull time employment. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Flexible hours, To be determined, , 08:30 to 16:30.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare, clean, and sand surfaces prior to painting.
• The candidate must erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging.
• The candidate must apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English or French.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate must be able to distinguish between colours.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must be able to work at heights.
• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
